About the Event
GamCare aims to spread awareness and provide the necessary knowledge on the effects of gambling and digital harm, enabling you and your teams to better deal with the subject and surrounding issues, and help those affected.
Here’s the most up to date on gambling harm: Currently over 0.5% of our population are considered problem gamblers and 7% of the population of the UK are negatively affected by gambling, which is one in 12 people either directly or indirectly affected by gambling-related harms.
As a quick overview, this free CPD accredited webinar will look at signs of problematic gambling for women predominately, as often women don’t talk about gambling, we discuss those most at risk and affected, how others are affected by problematic gambling by someone else in the home and we also give you signposting to all our free services.
GamCare is the leading charity in the UK helping people with problematic gambling or experiencing gambling harms for over 30 years, best known for the National Gambling Helpline. We are currently delivering sessions to all UK professionals across all public sector groups and charities.

The zoom webinar is informal and relaxed. My email address is Clare.Leakey@gamcare.org.uk. I would also be delighted to attend your networking events or team meetings and deliver a mini session based on your needs if that is easier for you and the team. My colleagues @Lindsey Anne-Taylor/ @rachel bonser and I also deliver sessions on young people/adults gaming and gambling as a combined session with dates available.
