About the Event
Trustees are jointly and severally liable for the financial resilience of their organisation. With increasing demands on services, precarious income streams and financial uncertainty being the norm for many charities, it can be difficult to have full confidence in our financial governance and financial decision making. This one day training course will revisit the core finance duties of a charity trustee and explore what it means to lead a financially compliant and financially resilient charity.
By the end of the training, you will:
- Understand what good financial governance looks like
- Know how to check your charity’s financial compliance
- Have a basic understanding of how to assess your charity’s financial position
- Be better able to lead your charity through financial uncertainty
Who should attend?
This training will suit any new trustee wishing to gain an introduction to charity financial governance, experienced trustees wishing to revisit their fiduciary duties and also be relevant to organisational leaders wishing to support their boards to fulfil their fiduciary duties. This course is intended for leadership development purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional financial advice.
