About the Event
This event is part of the BaNES Social Enterprise Programme of events* with catering by The Thoughtful Bakery.
Event Objective
To learn how one of the South West’s leading food and drink entrepreneurs manages the balance between profit and purpose, juggling different businesses and the tensions between competing social, environmental and financial aims.
Josh Eggleton is the co-founder of The Pony & Trap in Chew Magna, as well as his other projects Salt and Malt and Root, and a co-owner of Bristol Beer Factory. He starred in the Channel 4 documentary The Restaurant that Makes mistakes, which was staffed by people living with dementia, and a has been a regular on BBC’s Great British Menu.
Goals
The goals of the event are to help participants:
- be inspired by a leading entrepreneur from the BANES area
- learn about the entrepreneur’s journey to sustainability
- understand the skills required to manage competing objectives
