About the Event

This event is for local Volunteer Managers, Volunteer Coordinators, and anyone involved in volunteering at their local organisation. The Volunteering Network provides an opportunity for volunteer involving organisations to connect with each other, share best practice, address common issues, develop coordinated approaches and encourage local volunteering.

This network was previously run by St Mungo's in partnership with HCRG, and September's session is the first hosted by 3SG.

We will have several speakers at this session, including:

  • Help for Heroes, who will be talking about what it's like to manage volunteers in a large organisation.
  • Share and Repair in Bath, who were recently awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour for local voluntary groups in the UK. The charity focuses on helping people save money and protect the planet through reduce, repair, and reuse initiatives, including a Library of Things, 10 Repair Cafes and a number of ‘HOW TO’ workshops.  Share and Repair will be joining this Volunteer Network to talk to us about the award and what it means to them.

There will also be time for networking and sharing news. Light refreshments will be provided.

We'll also be launching 3SG's Volunteer Handbook, put together by our very own Toni Green.

Free event for 3SG members - full list of members can be found here. Please note, 3SG members must be logged in to the website to register. If you work/volunteer for a 3SG member organisation but do not have a login, please create one here: https://www.3sg.org.uk/newuser
