WECIL currently deliver a range of weekday evening and weekend sessions for young people with special educational needs and disabilities aged 8 to 13 and 13 to 21 across the B&NEs area.


The ideal candidate will be experienced in youth work and managing and motivating staff, volunteers and young people and understand the challenges facing disabled young people and their families. As part of our friendly CYP team you will be providing fun, inclusive activities that support young people to achieve positive outcomes, work toward aspirations and transition to adulthood.


The role requires regular evening and weekend work as well as travel throughout B&NES.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check so that any criminal background (including “spent” convictions, bind-over orders or cautions) is disclosed to the organisation.  If you are successful in applying for this post, we will ask the DBS for a Disclosure.


The position for which you are applying involves contact with vulnerable groups. It is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all subsequent amendments (England and Wales).


For this position, you are not entitled to withhold information about police cautions, bind-overs, or any criminal convictions that would otherwise have been considered “spent” under the Act.
