RICE is here to fight for a cure for dementia and the other conditions in older age such as Parkinson’s disease, and worsening muscle and bone health, which also greatly impact on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of older people and their families. The need for research into dementia and these other conditions and importantly the connections between them, continues to be critical.

It is particularly vital given a growing, ageing population and the increasingly multiple, complex needs that they have.

Our response to this pressing need is our plan to grow and expand the breadth of our activities beyond dementia and to focus our research on thinking clearly, moving well and staying strong – dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and muscle and bone health.
