Chance to join BSW Academy's Inclusive Leadership Programme

The VCSE across BSW ICS (B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care System) has been allocated six places on the BSW Academy Inclusive Leadership Programme. It will be run as two cohorts of 30 participants each.

The flyer (linked here) provides the detail of the time commitment for the programme, alongside an overview of the course content. A virtual launch of the programmes will take place on 25th May from 9.30 am - 10.30 am, which will need to be attended by participants of the course, but other interested parties may attend, as places at the launch itself are not limited. The launch webinar will provide an introduction to the provider (The Staff College) and the aspirations and objectives of the programme.

There are two spaces for VCSE in B&NES and we are keen for anyone who attends to share their learning via the 3SG quarterly ICS updates. Please only apply if you can attend the majority of the sessions.

The course is aimed at middle managers/leaders who manage staff and supervise teams, particularly, though not exclusively, those who manage diverse teams. Participants can be existing leaders or those new into post.

The Staff College (TSC) is committed to the development and embedding of equity, equality, diversity and inclusion principles into practice, by facilitating a greater understanding around anti-racist and inclusive leadership and cultural competence. Their programmes are co-created and built around a shared sense of moral purpose, social value and compelling supporting narrative drawing from lived and living experience, underpinned by robust governance and accountability. TSC appreciates the current context and ecosystem for colleagues across the care system and will work with them, restoratively and compassionately, offering respectful challenge, and will focus on change that can start now and make an enduring difference.

Sessions will provide the context, the inescapable evidence and the tools to help leaders initiate deep-rooted and sustained change for patients, colleagues and communities, and offer practical support, strategies and resources to help individuals and teams act on uncomfortable truths and lead enduring and irreversible change.
