Following the successful trial of round 1 of the Community Ownership Fund announced by the UK government last year, Round 2 is set to open to applications on 10th June 2022.
This Fund consists of £150 million set aside to help communities to buy local assets that are at risk of closure, such as pubs, halls, sports facilities etc.
Voluntary and community organisations across the UK can bid for match funding, which can then be used to take ownership of, or renovate, assets of value to the local community.
Since Round 1, the application process has been simplified and applicants can be given an indication at an early stage as to the eligibility of their project through an Expression of Interest stage.
If you are interested in learning more about the Fund, there will be a free webinar on Thursday 16th June hosted by DLUHC - You can sign up here or request the recording.
