The public consultation on the English portion of dormant assets funding has officially commenced. This will determine how nearly £740m worth of new money for good causes is to be spent.
The National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA)* is making a submission to the consultation on the Dormant Assets Fund – on how money from this fund should be used in the future.
The consultation is seeking views on continuing existing streams: youth, financial inclusion and social investment wholesalers; the inclusion of community wealth funds as new stream [that would provide long-term endowment funding for social infrastructure]; and new streams that could be funded.
