Local Groups Invited to Participate in "Extraordinary Earth Day" Event

A community event aiming to highlight the eco action being taken across BaNES, and encourage local people to get involved, will be taking place on Saturday 30th September, 10am – 5pm at Bath Abbey.

Extraordinary Earth Day is being organised by Bath Abbey in partnership with Transition Bath, Bath and West Community Energy, and CAFE BANES, with support from Bath and North East Somerset Council (Climate and environmental Sustainability team).

Local groups are invited to give talks and host stalls on the day, to engage with visitors and promote activities. There will be opportunities to give longer talks on specific topics, such as local food growing.

A local filmmaker will also be producing a silent film to accompany the Gaia art installation, which will run throughout October, and would like to speak to groups interested in being involved.

If your local group is interested in being involved in this event, either by hosting a stall for the day, delivering a talk, or taking part in the film, please complete this expression of interest form.
