We have gathered a selection of current funds and grant programmes currently open and taking applications, which may be of interest to many charitable organisations in Bath and North East Somerset.

National Grid - Green Spaces Community Fund
Registered and unregistered organisations based in areas served by the National Grid’s electricity distribution business - including South West England - are eligible to apply for the Green Spaces Community Fund. £500,000 is available through the fund to support communities to enhance their local environments and encourage more people to make the most of their green spaces.
Registered charities and eligible non-profit companies can apply for up to £10,000; unregistered community organisations can apply for up to £2,000.

Grants of between £30,000 and £150,000 for up to 3 years are available to organisations working towards achieving positive change around the social security system, accommodation and refugees and asylum seekers. Open to charities and CIC's with an income over £25,000.

Smallwood Trust - Women’s Urgent Support Fund
Emergency funding is available for organisations delivering frontline services that are led by, for and/or serving women, with an income of £1,000,000 or less. The funding will help to address the increase in demand for priority basic needs of women who are most vulnerable to poverty due to the cost-of-living crisis. Grants of £15,000 - £60,000 to be spent over 3 years.

Grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 are available to registered nonprofit organisations operating in the creative sector for projects that inspire creativity, increase stability in the arts sector and enable organisations to reimagine their support for the workforce.

This programme is for small local charities, CIOs and CICs with an income between £25,000 - £500,000 working with people who have faced inequity because of their race or ethnicity.
Organisations can apply for a 3 year unrestricted grant of £75,000.

Grants of £7,000 are available to U.K. nonprofit organisations to develop Community Fridges into Food Hubs, so that more food-based activities can be provided that will bring communities together and provide access to healthy, affordable and sustainable food.

This fund offers grants up to £5,000 to small-to-medium sized registered charities and charitable organisations supporting carers of all ages within a 10-mile radius of Bristol city centre. This includes parts of Bath and North East Somerset. They also offer grants up to £750 for individual carers for short respite breaks or other activities that provide a break from caring responsibilities (These must be applied for by a professional).

Grants of between £250 and £1,000 are available to organisations and individuals in the U.K. for projects that have a positive impact on the environment anywhere in the world, by furthering the environmental profession and/or raising awareness of environmental issues.

Match funding of up to £10,000 per charity is available to registered, female-led charities, with an income above £25,000. Organisations must be working to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls. The campaign will run from 11th - 18th October 2023.

Grants of up to £6,000 are available to U.K. registered charities working in the fields of health, health research, learning disabilities, young homeless people, performance arts, and children and families in developing countries.

Grants of between £250 - £3,000 are available for local communities to sow the seeds of change, with a particular focus on projects that centre around education, environment, children, people with disabilities, youth activities, and projects that provide clear benefits to their communities.
Eligible organisations include registered charities, state schools/PTFAs, and not-for-profit organisations (including small clubs and groups, but excluding CICs).

Grants of £2,500 are available for registered charities with an income under £400,000, for building websites and digital products, and to improve your charity's overall digital presence. Application priorities vary from quarter to quarter, and include Human Rights, Art & Culture, Environment and Equality and Diversity, this year.

Up to £25,000 of match funding is available per charity in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023. This year the campaign will run from midday Tuesday 28th November to midday Tuesday 5th December. Last year, the Christmas Challenge raised a record-breaking £28.6m for over 1000 charities.

Several funding programmes, including Core Grants Funding Stream and the Emergency Essentials grants, are available to U.K-based organisations who support disadvantaged children and young people aged 18 or under. Priority is given to smaller, local organisations with income under £2million, including CICs and CIOs. Applications for over £15,000 p/a will only be considered if you are a registered non-profit organisation. The maximum grant limit is £40,000 per year.

For charities looking for grant funding for a project that will make a positive difference in the community. Grants available to fully fund projects up to £25,000.
Open to registered charities in operation for longer than 1 year and based in England, Wales or Scotland. The maximum grant charities can apply for is £10,000.
