We have gathered a selection of current funds and grant programmes currently open and taking applications, which may be of interest to many charitable groups in Bath and North East Somerset.

The Cost of Living grant programme is open to nonprofit youth organisations based and delivering high quality youth work in the UK, with an annual turnover of £500,000 or less. The grant programme will offer 3-year unrestricted grants, of approximately 10% of current turnover of applicant organisations to reflect the current rate of inflation.
Applications for large grants (more than £10,000 per year) will close at midday on Thursday 6th April. Applications for smaller grants (£10,000 and under) will continue to be accepted after this date until further notice - Find out more.
The Premier League, The FA and Government's Football Foundation has launched the Energy Support Programme to help clubs and organisations become more energy-efficient to ensure financial and environmental sustainability.
Grants of 75% of the total project costs of the recommended energy-saving measures are available, up to a maximum value of £25,000.
As part of the programme, The Energy Fund is targeted at energy-saving measures for clubhouses and pavilions.

The Fore offer unrestricted grants of up to £30,000, spread over one to three years. The national Summer 2023 funding round opens at 12pm (midday) on Tuesday 11th April.

All U.K. registered charities, big or small, are welcome to apply for an award of £15,000. Two awards of £5,000 each are also up for grabs.
Registered charities looking for support with a current project, or a project they're hoping to run, can apply by submitting a 500 word summary of said project.

Miller Homes Community Fund Nonprofit groups can apply for a donation ranging between a minimum of £250 up to a maximum of £2,000 to help enhance the lives of individuals and the areas in which they live.
The fund will focus on causes that:
are linked to education
promote wellbeing
promote the environment
encourage participation in sport

Maximum grant awarded: Up to £1,500
Grants from the High Sheriff of Somerset Charitable Trust (formerly Somerset Crimebeat Trust) are available for projects that give young people (up to the age of 25) the opportunity to help combat crime and the cause of crime in their communities.
Applications open to BaNES or North Somerset based community or voluntary organisations, registered charities, and social enterprises. This includes unincorporated associations, charities, community interest companies, cooperatives, and industrial and provident societies.

In partnership with the Ministry of Justice, charitable organisations across England and Wales providing free legal advice and support can apply for grant funding of £100,000 to £200,000.

Charities and CICs seeking to influence and achieve change in national policy and practice around specific issues within accommodation, social security, and refugees and asylum seeker support can apply for grants of £30,000 - £150,000.
This programme is open to charities and CICs with an income over £25,000 working directly or with others to influence those in power to tackle the causes and consequences of complex issues and the barriers people face.

This funding programme is for small local charities and CIC's working with people experiencing inequity because of their race or ethnicity.
Three year unrestricted grants of up to £75,000 are available to organisations with an annual income between £25,000 and £500,000.

Grants of £500 - £25,000 are available for charities and good causes in the west of England, and the themes include:
Providing support to improve mental health
Enabling participation in physical activity
Enabling participation in the arts
Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality
Improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency
Improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors
Priority may be given to charities and good causes with an annual income under £250,000, working within an area of high deprivation, and/or led by or providing services for marginalised or minority groups.

For charities seeking to raise either £2,500, £5,000 or £10,000 in public donations (to be doubled by the match funds) to fund work to improve the lives of vulnerable, disadvantaged or underrepresented women and girls within the UK and internationally. Charities are able to use the campaign to raise unrestricted funds.
This match funding is open to U.K. registered charities with an annual income over £25,000.
Big Give will match fund whatever is given to a charity on the Big Give platform during the week commencing October 11th 2023, to mark International Day of the Girl.

The Trustees typically make grants of between £10,000 to £50,000, to U.K. registered charitable organisations working towards the prevention or relief of poverty; the advancement of education; the advancement of health or the saving of lives; or the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage, or science. Larger amounts may be available in exceptional circumstances.

Maximum grant awarded: £5,000
The aim of this Express Grant Programme is to support local grassroot groups and small to medium sized organisations. You can apply for funding towards activities, projects and services that:
Strengthen communities* experiencing inequalities and disadvantage; and or
Improve the lives of local people who face difficulties and have limited access to appropriate or affordable services and support.
The grant is open to all Bristol, BaNES and South Gloucestershire-based registered charities, CIC's and community organisations. Priority is given to those with an annual income under £1 million.

A micro fund offering grants ranging from £250 to £3,000, for either individuals, small groups or organisations with a novel technical idea they would like to try out. The fund is looking for ideas that would deliver a social or environmental benefit, and are intriguing, inventive and have an element of fun.

Grants available for voluntary or community organisations between £300 and £10,000. This includes CIC's, CIO's, registered charities, community benefit societies, schools and more. Priority is given to those with smaller incomes.
Funding is available to deliver a new or existing activity or to support your organisation to change and adapt to new and future challenges. Eligible projects will be those that aim to:
build strong relationships in and across communities
improve the places and spaces that matter to communities
help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage
support people, communities and organisations that are facing increased demands and challenges as a direct result of the cost-of-living crisis.

The Youth Fund supports organisations whose main purpose is working with and for young people (aged 14-25) who face complex transitions to adulthood.
Organisations which provide direct services or infrastructure support can apply for up to £150,000 spread over three years.
The Youth Fund priorities work committed to anti-racism, and makes an average of 25 grants a year. Eligible organisations will be those with an annual income over £30,000, but under £3.5 million.

Grants of up to £1.5 million over 2 to 5 years, with most projects between £300,000 and £500,000. Development grants of £50,000 to £150,000 over 12 to 18 months.
Funding available to help communities across the UK to address climate change. TNL is looking to fund between 12 to 15 projects that focus on the link between nature and climate, using nature to encourage more community-led climate action.
Open to U.K. based community and voluntary organisations, charities, public sector, those working in partnerships.

Funding of £10,000 or more, for up to 5 years, is available to voluntary or community organisations in England that work with their community, whether that is for people living in the same area, or people with similar interests or life experiences.
Projects and organisations must aim to:

help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage.

2:1 Match funding up to a maximum of £5,000 per project is available to U.K. based charities, including CIO's, CIC's and constituted community groups, who are taking action for nature. Such action must follow one of three ways; Nature restoration, Nature connectedness and pro-environmental behaviours, or Community cohesion and connection.
Eligible organisations will have an annual income of no more than £2million, and will have been operating for at least 12 months.

This fund from the National Lottery supports projects that connect people and communities to the national, regional and local heritage of the U.K.
Grants of £3,000 - £10,000 are available to nonprofit organisations, with projects that are expected to last up to one year.
Grants of £10,000 - £250,000 are also available to nonprofit organisations or partnerships with an eligible project lasting up to five years.
