The Ageing Well B&NES 2024 Community Survey Report has now been published! It can be viewed here or downloaded.
This report reflects the collective effort of our partners, organisations, community groups, and dedicated individuals in reaching older adults across Bath & North East Somerset. Thanks to collective support, we received 1,384 responses through online, postal, and in-person engagement, providing invaluable insights for building a more age-friendly community.
Your support and expertise have been integral, and we're excited to share our next steps:
B&NES Older People’s Voice launches on 30th January 2024 (details and tickets coming soon)—a multi-part forum empowering older adults to shape the policies and services that affect them.
The B&NES Age-Friendly Businesses Initiative, including our “New Year, New Loo” campaign, which will support local businesses in becoming more age aware, and aim to improve toilet accessibility and facilities around our county.
The State of Ageing Report (2025), combining these survey insights with your case studies, data, and examples to identify priorities, inform decisions, and highlight impactful work across the district.
As we begin drafting the State of Ageing Report, we will need your input. Specifically, we’re looking for relevant ideas, data, or case studies you can share with us after reading the Ageing Well B&NES 2024 Community Survey Report. If you know of work or initiatives that we should include in our State of Ageing Report or just know about more generally, please do get in touch via ageingwell@ageukbanes.co.uk
