On Friday, 1st September, we held our very first Volunteer Fair at the Apex Hotel, Bath, in partnership with HCRG and St Mungos. To recognise and thank all those involved in bringing the fair to life and contributing to the day, our Director, Becky Brooks, has a few words to share...
"On behalf of the 3SG team, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the charities, volunteers, speakers and local businesses that came along to our first ever Volunteer Fair, it was a brilliant day that will stay with us for a long time.
"It is always a risk to try something new, but we are so glad that we did. We welcomed over 200 B&NES residents through the door and we know from feedback that this resulted in volunteer sign ups for the charities which we support - our main reason for bringing this event together.
"There was such great energy in the room and the exhibition space also enabled some really valuable networking amongst organisations. It was joyful to see!
"I'd like to say a huge thanks to the amazing 3SG team - to Emma Huggill, our Operations and Content Co-ordinator, who worked tirelessly to make sure that the event was well organised and that all of our branding was effective and looked amazing; and to Alfiya Khan, our new Project Manager, who had to learn on the job quickly and had a great day meeting everyone.
"We would really love to run this event again, subject to funding or sponsorship, and we are looking forward to reading everyone's feedback for future planning. Thank you to everyone who came along!"
